Race Series 2026/27
** Please note: Our races are licenced by the Fell Runners Association (FRA) and governed by FRA rules. Further information may be found on the FRA website; please read also their requirements for runners. The use of GPS navigation or poles is not allowed. Running with dogs is not allowed. You must carry the mandatory kit as listed in the race information. If it comes to our attention that a competitor has been breaking these rules for any part of the race, this will result in a disqualification. **

Race 1 – Ilam 3 Peaks (AS)
Race information

Date: Sunday 13th September 2026

Description: A classic, fully-marked 4-mile loop, starting with a lung busting blast up Bunster Hill, a river crossing and some speedy sections between the three summits. (6.4km/520m)
Please note: The rifle range on Thorpe Pastures may be in use during the race. The area around the rifle range will be out of bounds, please follow the marked route and follow any directions from marshals to ensure your safety.
Start Time: 11am
Registration: Ilam Primary School, DE6 2AZ. Registration will be opening at 9:00am and closing at 10:40am.
Parking: National Trust car park at Ilam Park (pay and display), DE6 2AZ – 5 minute walk to registration.
Facilities: Public toilets are available at Ilam Hall. Limited toilets are also available at registration. Tea, cakes, and savoury snacks will be available to purchase at Ilam Primary School after the race, so remember to bring some cash!
Kit Requirements: Please be prepared to carry full FRA kit but may be relaxed depending on conditions.

Race 2 – Monsal Mash (AS)
Race information

Date: Saturday 31st October 2026

Description: A race of two polarized halves! Starting with flat and fast trail running along Monsal Dale, the second half then takes a direct line up and down Fin Cop before a final climb to the finish at Monsal Head. (9.5km/500m)
This is a new race for 2026, sponsored by Rab.
Start Time: 11am
Registration: The Stables, Monsal Head, Bakewell, DE45 1NL. Registration will be opening at 9:00am and closing at 10:40am.
Parking/facilities: Please car share as parking is limited. Do not park on Castlegate Lane (B6465). There is a large paid public carpark near the registration with public toilets. There is limited street parking in Little Longstone, please be considerate of residents.

Race 3 – Litton Christmas Cracker (BM)
Race information

Date: Sunday 13th December 2026

Description: A festive blast around Miller’s Dale and Cressbrook from the village of Litton. Bring your Santa hats! (10.3km/410m)
Originally organised by Tideswell Running Club and then Buxton AC, this popular festive race is back since 2024 as a part of the Limestone Series.
Start Time: 11am
Registration: Litton Village Hall, SK17 8QX. Registration will be opening at 9:00am and closing at 10:40am.
Parking: Litton Village. Please car share as parking is limited.
Facilities: Toilets are available at the Red Lion Inn. Limited facilities at registration.
Kit Requirements: Please be prepared to carry full FRA kit but may be relaxed depending on conditions. FANCY DRESS IS ENCOURAGED!

Race 4 – Moonriver Night Race (BS)
Race information

Date: Friday 8th January 2027

Description: An exciting night-time fell race in the Dovedale valley, featuring open fields, a rocky riverside trail, a woodland climb and undulating footpaths. (9.5km/345m)
Start Time: 7pm
Registration: The Old Dog pub (DE6 2AT). Registration will be opening at 17:00 and closing at 18:30.
Parking: At the pub along with the nearby Narlows Lane and Thorpe station car parks (pay and display, free after 6pm) (DE6 2AT) and Peveril of the Peak hotel (DE6 2AW)
Facilities: Toilets are available at The Old Dog.
Kit Requirements: Full FRA kit is required including a headtorch – we recommend bringing a spare just in case! Please also bring a mobile phone in case of emergencies.
